Amrai is a traditional girl’s name in Montafon and the namesake for the hotel natural setting. Love for the homeland is also definitely on the agenda here.
Architect Felix Schädler did not interpret it as Alpine kitsch, instead striking a fine balance of light and airy modernity and many material echoes of the region, such as sheep’s wool, copper and local timbers. This also benefits the guests, who relax here in the spa after excursions into the majestic mountains surrounding the area or enjoy classic Montafon cuisine. For the interior, the choice fell on a partner who could fulfil the establishment’s demand for high-quality materials and casual elegance in many ways. The furniture from Rolf Benz creates a well-balanced atmosphere between purist elegance and pure comfort in interaction with its surroundings.
For us as architects, design is what counts first and foremost. Clear lines and yet full of character. That’s exactly what we find at Rolf Benz, coupled with the individuality we desire in implementation and, last but not least, the great support from the Rolf Benz Contract team.
